We're home from California. We had a wonderful, fun filled time. We did, however, experience several earthquakes including the largest 5.1 shaker that made the news. We were even evacuated from a ride during a 4.1 aftershock.
I've experienced 2 earthquakes and i was feeling miserable...there's nothing to do except waiting....Hope your kids weren't chocked, Mickey seems to be ok ;)
@cocobella@clarita_71@mzzhope@kandkids We were on Maui once and felt a 4.6 quake and then a small aftershock. It's so scary and helpless feeling. This time my husband and daughter were with me in the hotel when the beds started moving a lot and the TV swaying. I had to hold it. My son was in Disneyland with our friend so it was really unnerving waiting for him to return. The five of them linked arms to stay together and it took them almost 45 mins to get back to our hotel which was directly across the street. I got our cash, passports, meds and an outfit all ready by the door In case we had to make a quick exit.
I was in Malibu in the early 90's when they had one off the coast in the Pacific. We had just finished dinner and the light poles in the restaurant's parking lot were shaking back and forth. We first thought we had too much to drink that night :)
