I'm back from 3 nights in San Francisco with my friend to celebrate her 40th birthday. We had a blast!! I've been up since 3:30 and I need to go to sleep so I'm going to post and run. We walked down the crookedest street in the world and then got this shot from the Coit Tower.
I have always thought this would be a great street for light trails - it would have to be a real slow shutter speed as I don't think cars can get through all those turns at any speed. I'm noticing that the buildings on one side of the street are more colorful than the other, wonder if that has been planned?
Our lovely taxi driver drove us down Lombard Street as he could tell by our accents we were visitors. We took his advice on some places we should see. This brings back such good memories too. Love the pic showing anyone who doesn't know it just how it winds down.
Funnily enough, Miriam was there recently for a friend's 50th birthday celebration. She really enjoyed it and one of the things they did was Lombard Street! Nice capture.
Cool POV !
My husband and I have been there a ....couple of years ago and we found very funny to drive several times in Lombard street ...we were young.... :)
I remember that street very well! My daughter and I drove one of these crazy little yellow 'go cars' around SF a couple of years back. It's a guided tour, and you follow the instructions. We had to drive down this street, with tons of Asian tourists looking at us and taking photos of us! It's quite a street. Lovely shot!
