Not a great shot and not even taken by me. My husband built this for the kids while I was in San Francisco last week and took this with his iPhone. I didn't use my camera today and I thought this was worthy of spot in my project. He used a 100' (30.5m) long piece of heavy plastic (it's normally used by insulators) and tacked it down with screwdrivers. The used a huge costco size jar of dish soap and a hose and had the time of their lives. I seriously think I have one of the best husbands on the planet!
Lovely to see this ........your house looks great .....an interesting looking barn next door! Your husband is very enterprising & a perfect child minder!
@happypat That "barn" is our neighbour's house. It's a rather strange looking place with a flat roof and shingles and brick siding. It's been there probably 30 years. A plastic surgeon, his wife and five kids rent it. It was for sale and we looked at before we brought our property but it needed a LOT of work and my carpenter husband wanted to start from scratch. That lot is long, like ours, but really narrow.
I thought it was an old disused barn.....didn't realise people were living in it! Much nicer to have brand new & modern......I fancy going open plan & modern in our last house. Will downsize in the next couple of years nearer into the village....something like yours would be fine haha !
That video was fun!! :-)) It doesn't look like there is that much slope to the site, but I guess the soap on the plastic helped! They looked like they were having the time of their lives! BTW, your kids are total "whities"....guess they don't live in So Cal!
@panthora I'm a sun nazi and make them wear sun shirts and hats and lots of sunscreen. I drive them crazy! Gage's chest has never seen the sun. I was away so he convinced dad that he didn't need the sun shirt. My husband has first nations in him and tans more in ten minutes than I do in a season. He rarely wears sunscreen. Unfortunately, both kids got my skin.
