Herons

I looked out my window this morning and saw three blue herons on the water's edge. I grabbed my big lens (no tripod) and wandered off to see how close I could get. These two were very cooperative but the third guy held back so I couldn't get him in the frame.

You don't want to frighten them away so have to take the shots! The sparkles here indicate warmth and sunshine and the silhouettes are so clear and sharp!
