For those that follow, you know I challenged myself to do a rainbow month in September. I modified it slightly to include purple (combined violet & indigo) and I added pink to create seven colours. The month ended on Monday and I didn't like the uneven look so I decided to finish the final week. Each of the five weeks I used a different theme: flowers, shoes, food, household items and finally sports/recreation. I combined all 35 shots, using Picmonkey, to create this. Thanks to all who commented and fav'd along the way. Some of the shots were rather boring on their own.
this is a beautiful collage, k. congratulations on a job well done. that's hard to pull off, especially that you had a weekly theme, too! the best self challenge i ever did was the double alphabet i did in november last year.
This just came out stunning in collage. Those colors for each day of the week blend so perfectly and really like the theme approach. You must feel really good about this final product.
@lesip I used Picmonkey to make one photo collage (no borders) of each colour. Then I took those seven photos and made another collage with them and included a border. I saved that has a new photo and then edited it by adding a border. My biggest suggestion would be to make each of your shots a square throughout the month.
@sailingmusic I used Picmonkey to make one photo collage (no borders) of each colour. Then I took those seven photos and made another collage with them. I saved that has a new photo and then edited it by adding a border. I spent the $20 and have the royale membership but I'm pretty sure everything I did would have been free. My biggest suggestion would be to make each of your shots a square throughout the month.
@floresleida Fill the frame and crop to a square. Be willing to tint the odd shot just a tad so the tones match. I did weekly themes but if that feels overwhelming just do random things. Keep your eyes open for colours, even in strange places. You'll be amazed at what you actually see. I cheated a bit and shot multiple colours on days I had the tripod out and was on a roll with colours and then just posted later. Most importantly, have fun and keep focusing on the end result. It's all worth it in the end when you see that striped monthly view!
Goodness me that's gorgeous! You've got the colours beautifully but the patterns work so perfectly too. Very well done m'dear, one of the best I've ever seen
I love how you stuck not only with the colours but also with a theme within it. I am too fickle to stick to sth like this for a month :) Fabulously done!
I never did come back and visit this shot to fully appreciate it (I just enjoyed it from your calendar view.) So nicely done, it did look like a fun challenge. Fav.
Wow!!! This represents incredible planning, precision and stellar execution! You have an amazing eye for color and detail, and I suspect maybe just a touch of OCD (in the best possible way, of course :)) to make this happen! Kudos and FAV!
Fav and follow. You have inspired me to do one of these. I love your choice of objects. It must have been hard to get the vibrancy of colour to get this intensity.
Congrats on the #1 spot on this week's TT. Being so behind with my viewing it's the first time I'd seen it but I had to come straight over and make it fav #100 :o) xx
Your hard work def paid off. This is a great collage - and something I think we should all take part in, such a wonderful idea. I love how it came out.
what a wonderful project.
I must need to upgrade what I have. fav
