I haven't been on the computer all day... 2 hour drive one way to a soccer game with a stop at the mall on the way home. My son got to play in my home town (my husband & I moved away when we were 22) which was kind of fun. My Aunt came to the field and we had a great visit so no photos were taken. This was from last Sunday's game.
Awesome action shot and love it in B/W!! I have two great, great nieces that are in soccer also. I love to see their photos and wish we could see them play, they live in La. so tooo far to drive!! Love this!! FAV!
I LOVE this action shot, in b&w. Brilliant. I wish there were even one shot that's this good from my tennis-playing school days. I agree with Lisa above--the shot does scream "great childhood." How memorable. FAV!
Panning with a person running is something I have tried but without success. So this is I find wonderful. I think you appreciate most the pictures of others who have succeeded where you have come up short. But it also inspires you to keep trying.
Those light-dappled trees in the background are gorgeous — they made a super backdrop for this action shot. Glad your camera settings are viewable for this pic — I learned something from them.
Super action shot. Perfect timing, and the intensity in his face and throughout his body is fantastic. I love how you have caught the power coming from his left leg as he pushes off. This is the kind of shot that I struggle with so I am having a look at your exif data to see where I am going wrong.
You had a busy one! Glad you had this great filler to put up. He looks like he is going to "bust a gut" as we say down here in the south! LOL! Isn't it great to have a "hometown" to go "home" to? Some folks don't have that.

Great panning shot!! He looks like he is running to stay warm.....if he needs to wear that hat to protect from the elements he must be pretty cold in that soccer uniform! Oh, and wonderful DOF!
