Another filler from last month! I won't bore you with the details but today was long and jam packed!! I attempted a couple photo ideas tonight but my heart just wasn't into and I'm really tired (didn't sleep well last night).
I've read your comments (via my phone while on the go today). Thank you for all your lovely comments and favs on my son's portrait I took yesterday. I must tell you that some made me chuckle. My son HATES photography and was not all into posing. I threatened him with something (can't remember now in my zombie state). He looks so sweet in the photo but in reality he was on the floor, holding a reflector and saying "I hate getting my photo taken! You can only take one shot!" I managed to get about five frames in before he walked away. He is rarely a willing model. Yelling and scream and/or bribery is often involved.
I was telling my husband about these great shots you get with rocks while we were in italy. We don't have many rocks around here like the ones you use, but they had them along the beach there. I wanted to make a word or something, but never took the time while we were there. So glad you had a 'filer' day! well, hopefully it was not a bad day, just a busy one.
I loved reading that you wouldn't bore us with details, just as I posted a long boring commentary with details re our fire!! I hope your day tomorrow is improved and loved your filler for today. Your work with natural elements is so Galworthy (I think that's the artist) and they really stand out.
Love this, I am behind on commenting so have not got to your son's portrait yet, but your comments made me chuckle, the only way I can take a shot of my son is when he is not paying attention to me. I hope you get a good nights sleep tonight
Cool shot! At first I thought the white was a chalk line, but now I think you found rocks with natural lines? Awesome!
I laughed at your description of your son. Same problem here with my 2 and 4 year olds... I was hoping they'd grow out of it... or at least give into my paparazzi ways gracefully.
Such a pretty leaf and love the heart around it!!! Just imagine the next person that finds this on the ground? How cool it would be to find a simple message like this!!! I heart this photo!!! FAV!
Love it! I wonder how long it took to find this many rocks with lines through them. Interesting that not one outside the heart shape has any sort of line on.
I laughed, reading about the photo shoot with your son. I'd have NEVER guessed he wasn't a willing subject. He's got acting in his future it would appear.
jerwinkieLove your story Kim. I can imagine how the two of you doing this. you manage him to model bec of your sweet motherly and friendly heart. Cant wait for more opictures of him. Lol. Fav this!
As soon as I saw the heart drawn on the stones on the Trending Page, you came to mind. As I passed my mouse over the picture sure enough, KWind popped up!
Lovely composition. Oh dear, that's yet to come. Mine are or not aware yet of the camera, or, the eldest mainly, like little tasks I give him (yes!), guess that'll change over the years.
A beautiful display and capture.
Did you show your sun his pic.? I`m sure he loves it to. Maybe not telling. but that is to blame on his age. They love to be against it , any time, any how.
I lvoe this ...and I am with Alexandra. Your sand messages and hearts are always so special. Love these rocks. Are those the natural white lines in them? How creative!!
@eyesmile Yes, the lines are naturally there. I searched them out to make the heart. This started out as this http://365project.org/kwind/365/2014-08-21 back in September but the words blew away so I added the leaf.
@pyrrhula He saw it but didn't say much. He would never admit that it was good. It's funny how he doesn't like getting his pic taken but he sure likes looking through our yearly photo book that I make.
