Orange X

I spotted a bunch of these birds on a log this morning. I just love their long orange beaks.

Oyster Catchers are such beautiful birds. They are on the endangered list in South Africa as many have been killed by vehicles driving on the beaches! For the last 10 or so years there's been a ban on beach driving in general. Certain areas you can apply for a permit to drive on the beach.
