My mom is a HUGE part of my life but I rarely share her with you. Today we had a family gathering and all my mom's siblings were together (except for four that have passed on and one that lives out of town). My mom is on the far left followed by five of her siblings. She's the third youngest of 11 kids. They grew up dirt poor but in a house full of love. They all get along and get together as often as possible. Today's event was organized so everyone could see my sister, who returns to Australia shortly.
It sounds like you must have had a wonderful day together. I can't imagine growing up in a family of 11. How nice that they all get along and get together regularly. Not all families can boast that!
Aww! It warms my heart to see that they are so close still. I grew up with 2 sisters so I am really flying by the seat of my pants while raising my 10. So far, they seem amazingly close. I pray it stays that way.
A wonderful gathering, it's lovely to see families getting together. Such a large family too. We have a family gathering every year, I am one of six and we have all our nieces and nephews come too, you can't beat it!
Beautiful shot! I'm one of 8 children, and my sisters, brothers and all spend far more time with each other than we do with friends... couldn't be more grateful to my parents that they gave us the best gift they could give at all.... a wonderful family! :)
OK, I did not know your family was Catholic!! That is A LOT of kids....wow!! I only have a brother, and I thought my best friend from college came from a HUGE family of six!! I am so impressed that they all get along, and get together, and love each other. So wonderful to have that kind of closeness....wonderful family shot!
