There's a sloped path that leads to our City Hall. It's lined with the most beautiful trees that are the palest of pink in colour. I had errands downtown so I brought my camera and snapped a couple of shots. It was actually raining at the time so I didn't stay long.
This morning I figured out how to watermark my images. I use Apple's Aperture software and I don't have photoshop or Lightroom so I could never figure it out. Thanks to a You Tube tutorial I did it! I'm not big on watermarks but at least I know how to do it now.
@888rachel Yes, the camera was on the ground. I had the focal point set about a third of the way up. I shot blindly and hoped for the best. I had to straighten just slightly later.
I love this! Those colors filling the whole picture make you feel like you're in a pink haze - it's beautiful. I'm going to have to learn how to set a focal point when you not looking at the screen - have tried it on the ground once and missed it totally. I'm not against lying on my tummy (just have to find somewhere without people who either think I'm dying or just crazy!)
I never put watermarks on my photos either but then had a couple stolen, so I learned in a hurry!
Nice worm's eye view of the petals on the ground!! Great DOF!!
First I like your watermark. I know what you mean about watermarks, they can be quite intrusive but yours is plain & simple & on this shot anyway does not spoil it. I presume these are petals although at first I thought they were growing flowers. Very beautiful in this narrow shot.

I use Picasa Free for my signature/name on it . It very easy to do .
