Not two minutes after stepping on to the Santa Monica pier this afternoon we spotted a TV series being filmed. I got really close, made eye contact and got a wave from Eric McCormick, of Will & Grace fame. So exciting! This is SOOC except for a slight crop. @kwind So near! Both our girls worked at D-Land in hi-school and college (on vacations)...fond memories! Have a wonderful time! We're just down the road from the airport as well. Might not be crowded Sunday! Happy Easter!

@kwind have to share...such a fun memory! In my teens, my dad took me with him to the Press Club in Tucson one evening as the actors in the movie, McClintock would be there. As I sat in a booth, up comes Patrick Wayne, commenting that we seemed to be the youngest people there. We spent a nice time chatting, but when he'd say "my dad...such and such.." I'd think, "but you're talking about John Wayne!" Special Memory Moment!
9:30... How about that fireworks extravaganza?! Even 10 miles away, we hear that every night and don't even have to look at our watches to know the time! Get your camera settings ready for fireworks while it's still daylight! 40 years here and I've never been well-prepared!
