Neither of my little darlings really enjoy school. It makes me a little sad because I used to love going! I used Picmonkey to tweak their back to school shots we took this morning. My daughter is going into grade 11 at high school and my son into grade 7 at middle school.
What a nicely put together shot of the two of them - have a granddaughter (now 18) who has hated school since the first day of kindergarten - been a long push. Hope they have a reasonably happy year even if school isn't their favorite thing! (Good looking kids).
They both have a sort of 'grin and bear it' expression. I also loved school and feel sad when kids don't. I wonder if school has become a different sort of place with the emphasis on testing.
A beautifully presented diptych . The two have that expression of --here we go again ! I hope this school year will not be too much of a grind for them -- I enjoyed every minute of school (besides perhaps PE !! - was never any good at it !! )
Seems odd seeing your lovely daughter going back to school yet she is the owner of that wonderful VW........you drive so young in your country! I see that wayward eyebrow is still there too! Great looking kids......I think they perhaps will be ok once they get startedM
Yes, they both seem really excited about going back to school....NOT!! Yes, I used to love school, too, and still do...I think it was all about the learning and being transported to other places. Maybe their lives are so rich with experiences they don't really need to learn about it in school! They are wonderful kids...
My girls go through stages in regards to liking or not liking school. I think it has a lot to do with their teachers. My eldest daughter is really enjoying school this year and loves her teacher, my youngest daughter, not so much.
Such a shame that they don't enjoy school but I can empathise, I hated it! I decided much later on in life to study so it's never too late. Lovely capture of them both xx
