Paradise Meadows

We drove half an hour to our local ski resort (Mt. Washington) to hike through the beautiful Paradise Meadows of Strathcona Provincial Park. We walked along boardwalks until we stopped at one of the many lakes and the kids went for a swim. The sky was rather dull, unfortunately but the scenery was lovely!

I just searched for this place, didn't realise it is actually on Vancouver Island ! What a wonderful place you live in, didn't realise there was anywhere high enough for skiing on the island (but I have only been there for a few days in Victoria).

@princessm It's a mile high and gets lots of snow most winters. You can snowshoe and cross country ski where we walked. The downhill part of the mountain is a very short distance away.
