Tonight was commencement - she's done! Going to Australia in October for three months and then doing who knows what afterwards.
Good news on the Gage front... it appears the remicade infusion is helping. He reports his pain level has dropped from a 10 to a 3/4. I can't express how relieved I am feeling! The doctor was kind of negative yesterday and used the words "running out of options" and even went so far as to imply removing his colon might have to happen.
Congratulations to her, I love your POV. You always manage such creative shots! And what hopeful news about Gage's treatment. I'm glad he's finally getting some results, it must have been so stressful on all of you.
Great angle for the photo. Congratulations on graduation. I live 80 kms out of Sydney if your daughter is in this direction & wants a home stay for a few days. And that's good news for your son.
Your creativity and the lightness conveyed by your photos makes one forget that you are struggling so bad with your son's health...I admire you with no reserve. All the best for your grad daughter, for Gage and for you!
Beautiful capture of your daughter...I'm glad your son has turned the corner. I hope you have the option of a second or third medical opinion for you son.
Nice shot. Hope your daughter has a great time in Australia.
Glad to hear Gage's treatment is working.
a friend of mine has had ulcerative colitis for years and recently underwent Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) sounds disgusting, but the results have been amazing. He highly recommends it.
@onewing I know nothing about this procedure but I will definitely ask when we're back at the hospital in 4 weeks! Thanks for the info!
@365projectorgjenfurj Thanks for the offer. She's going to stay in Melbourne with my sister the majority of the time. Then myself, husband and son will join her for three weeks. We've got a house rented in The Rocks area for the five days were in Sydney.
This is just beautiful! Your graduate is going to have the most wonderful photo memories!
Very VERY good news about Gage and his progress! That drop in pain levels is significant!
Such a lovely photo of your beautiful girl, her prom photos are spectacular! I'm so glad to hear that your son's pain is subsiding and so hopeful he will have some real comfort now.
Congrats to you all, I love the POV on this. Good luck to her on her travels, the scariest yet best thing to do as a parent is trust in them and set them free, how exciting for her. Also so glad to hear Gage is doing better. My best wishes to you and your family!
