The Hike to the Plane by kwind

The Hike to the Plane

If you saw my photo from yesterday then you'll remember me saying it took an hour through mud and peat bogs to get to the crashed plane. This was part of the route - the good part as there's not that much mud here! You can see my husband up ahead following the pink flags in the trees. I swear we would have been lost forever if they weren't there to guide us through the muck!
Great shot, that must have been tough going!

A rough terrain for determined hikers to get to their destination -- and so worthwhile to find and see the crashed plane relic !

That does look squelchy underfoot!

Rough country to walk through to reach the plane but overall it must have been a wonderful adventure even if there was no plane at all. Scary to think you might have got lost.

That must have been fascinating - I'd be walking a little then looking back to make sure I could see a flag to find my way back. Look like you're the only ones in the world at the time.
