The interior of the church of spilled blood was incredible! Every square inch of the place was covered in tiny mosaic tiles. The ceiling was so high, the chandeliers were huge and the domes were beautiful.
This photo was taken 3 weeks ago. I am currently in California at Disneyland. We go home tomorrow. We were all in the hotel room packing up when the place started to shake! I hate earthquakes. Apparently there was a 7.1 magnitude quake in the death Valley area. Not sure exactly how far away that is in distance but I’ll tell you I was it was further away. We did not like the feeling.
Wow - this church is incredible inside - and you captured so much of the detail in those tiny mosaic tiles. Must have been unbelievable standing there. A must see on black! I can't begin to think about scary that feeling with the earthquake must have been. Glad you're headed home.

Glad everyone is OK. I can only imagine that a 7.1 is pretty scary, because the 5.3 that shook us out of bed one morning was rather scary at first.
