We discovered this hornet's nest at the cabin. It's a miracle my husband spotted it. Luckily no one was stung. Unfortunately, it's still there and we are just avoiding it at this point. We need to find a way of getting rid of it. It's almost the size of a football.
Yes be careful with them- this kind of hornet has a very nasty sting. When we've had to remove nests, we generally do it at night. The bees are slower then- but I'm not sure with a nest that size what the safest way would be. Good shot though- and be careful!
