I'm going to leave my Italy tour for a day and share with you Beautiful British Columbia, Canada. Today is my 46th birthday and my amazing husband surprised me with a once in a lifetime experience last night. My parents were over having dinner when a helicopter landed on our front grass! Yes, landed on the lawn!! We then proceeded to fly around for almost two hours. We went up Bute Inlet on the mainland (we live on Vancouver island) and saw the most incredible sights... hundreds of waterfalls, glaciers, goats, an iceberg, blue water, green marshes, fish farms and so much more. We landed on the shores of a glacier fed lake and played in the snow for a bit. Here's a couple more shots and my FB album if you want to see the other images I took.
I came to Vancouver Island to see my Uncle about 19 years ago and I really loved it. Sadly he has died so I haven't got an excuse to come back and Steve wouldn't be able to cope with flying such a distance which is a shame. Fav
what a birthday gift! and what wonderful beautiful sights you so excellently captured, kim. happy birthday. and had he bought the helicopter for your birthday, it's good to know that there's a place to park it! :-)
Happy Birthday Kim.......such a great treat & one that a photographer would appreciate even more......your husband knows what you will love! The helicopter landing on the front lawn would be just awesome!
Happy Birthday Kim........what a nice surprise!!
Love the pov and everything you could see up there!
We just spent a few days at the Icefiellds near Jasper............it was beautiful, the glacier mountains, turquoise lakes, waterfalls, mountain goats, wolves and bears were just a few of the things we saw today.
A 4 hour trip took us 11 hours because we stopped to take so many photos!!! What a gorgeous country we live in.
