Flying insect !

Anyone any ideas to what this is, measured after approximately 14 cm (6 inches).

Another Lapthorn here! (Roger Lapthorn - once from Salcombe, but now in East Anglia). Not sure what sort this is but would not fancy it in the bedroom! BTW, brother John Lapthorn still lives near Salcombe.
