I'm in big cities this week - Shenzhen, Shanghai, Nanjing, etc. so that should be fun to do, if I can figure out places in cities I don't know. For your challenge, how about a photo that "depicts a sense of place" because you mentioned that you are out of the country all week. A photo that establishes where you are?
