Hi Laura, I have looked at your photos...no selfies I promise! since a lot of your shots are out of doors I will challenge you to and inside shot using a strong side light...this can be window light or artificial lighting...use it with intent to cast a shadow, cause a reflection, to show texture or angles...your subject can be human or inanimate whatever you choose. I look forward to seeing your photo/photos!
