I think I have the hang of photographing flowers now. I have fixed lens camera so I use macro focus mode, ND filter off to increase the shutter speed to reduce camera shake (I don't have a tripod), full sun on the flower, and don't let my shadow intrude on the photo, smallest aperture, avoid anything distracting in the background.
So no more flowers, plants, trees or landscapes next week - just people, buildings and objects.
You are very precise. This photo hits all your points. I still have trouble making sure to keep my shadow out of the way.
I'm looking forward to seeing next week, but I hope you don't give up those beautiful flowers, plants and landscapes altogether.
@colleenculhane Just want to get out of my comfort zone, which is part of the challenge. But I am sure I will be back to landscapes and flowers. In fact, there is a very nice azalea coming into flower in the garden, so I may not last even a week.
