Vaches sauvages

I was reading recently that the most deadly animal in the UK (that is, the one that kills the most people) is the domestic cow (Australians, feel free to howl in derision for a few moments). Half of the people killed were farm workers, and of the other half, all but one were dog walkers. There are farm cattle roaming freely in the woods here, but they have ear tags to show they are controlled and healthy, and bells to stop the wild boar hunters shooting at them. These are feral cattle and there are signs around the village warning that they are dangerous and to approach no nearer than 10 metres. I had my spaniel Jasper with me and so I hope you appreciate the danger I am willing to face in order to get my 365Project photo.

You really do go the extra mile for the project! Fantastic capture of these feral animals.

It' s a great capture but it re-inforces my decision not to brave the cattle on my return walk from the almshouses!

That is quite the direct head-on shot you got there. I admit, I have never heard of feral cows before...
