Plateau de fruits de mer by laroque

Plateau de fruits de mer

Our traditional Christmas day meal, eaten at lunchtime outside on the terrace in the sun. Accompanied as usual by a New Zealand sauvignon blanc - Greywacke 2017 - not easy to find in France and not cheap, 24€ a bottle. Bonne fête de Noël to one and all !
It looks, and sounds, lovely!

What a wonderful looking platter. Had to do some research to tell you that the Greywacke is 16 Euro here in NZ.

Similar Tim... but at 4C - very definitely indoors ( I would have been very happy to have found an NZ sauvignon in our part of the woods - we settled for a chardonnay)

@vignouse https://www.voyageursduvin.com/ Recommend - 15€ for transport only, carefully packaged, great service. I find it depressing having to go to Lidl because that is the only place that sells non-French wine. At least we can go to Spain when the 'gilet jaunes' are not active! Très bonnes fêtes de Noël !

We could do with being nearer to Spain for Rioja and Fino. We do have a very good local wine merchant who stock Fino but at 19,99€ a bottle, so we get ours from Amazon at half that price! I'm a great fan of Lidl for the quality of their fruit and vegetables... and foreign wine of course!

WOW! You lucky man. There would be a revolution if I served that for Christmas lunch. ¡Feliz Navidad!
