According to our local newspaper, the first vendange (grape harvest) in France started today, at the local domain Lafarge. The grapes are destined to be made into a wine called Lafabuleuse. The grapes in the photo are from some unloved vines in my own garden, and in the unlikely event they are ever converted to wine, then that wine will be called Le Less-than-Fabulous.
@bob65 I think I read that the French wine harvest was expected to be 25% below normal, a result of a frost hitting the middle of the country just as the flowers were appearing - so basically Bordeaux to Burgundy, the Loire and the Champagne region, but for once, the Languedoc escaped.
