Yesterday's shot was of the Antigone district of Montpellier, which lies to the left of the river Lez. The building on the left in this shot is similar in style and presumably is from the same era, pre-Millenium. The taller building is very recent and is called L'arbre blanc (The White Tree). I saw it from a long way away and walked along the river towards it. I think it is spectacular. The lead architect was Japanese, and relatively young. The building is residential but (I only found this out later) has a restaurant/bar at the top which is open to the public. I'm sure the views, West towards the old city, East towards the Mediterranean, would be spectacular.
