Lavoir Cérétan by laroque

Lavoir Cérétan

Took this with my phone on the way back to the car after visiting Céret market. Many towns and villages still have a lavoir, a public laundry, though most are a lot older than this, often medieval. Thought it might be a useful project to photogaph them, something for those days when inspiration is absent.
I adore these older villages. I love the narrow cobbled streets, there's even a small hotel here.

I love your angle how it shows what’s going on behind the building

Love the view with the alley way.

A good way to remember what you might want to photograph at a later date. I think you could make lots of images with these as a subject!

More character than the machines you see in so many French car parks.

It had a sibling on Montmarte in Paris called Bateau Lavoir.
