He may yet settle down to less fighting. It takes a month or so for all those hormones to die down. I have neutered tom cats that still get into tiffs, but not the knock down drag out fighting with bloody ears and legs that I see from the fights from unneutered toms. I do have one or two more dominant alpha type ex-toms who will pounce and bully, but it's more of a "stay out of my personal space" type thing than "get out of my territory and don't come back" type fight. He still has quite a pretty face, even with his scratch.
@aecasey Thank you for sharing your experience ♥ I know what you mean, and I totally agree. Joshi was neutered the last day in September. But you're right, all in all he seems to be less aggressive now. And he's more cuddly now, some weeks ago I still had to be careful while touching his fur :)
A few days ago I was strolling with my tomcat Pollux on a lead. Joshua and Mable followed us, and there was absolutely no aggression. I was totally surprised. Maybe it's more a problem between Joshua and Ginger, the red tomcat. Have a nice day!
