Things That Get Left Behind by laurentye

Things That Get Left Behind

This picture reminds me of a stuffed bear I use to have when I was a child. It's name was "Baby Bear" and it had belonged to my mother when she was young. When we moved across the country, the bear was one of the things that got left behind. I didn't think about it at the time, but as I get older and maybe more sentimental, I wish I still had it.
Awww, that is touching Lauren. I know what you mean about getting older and more sentimental. I think we just want something from that tender, carefree time period of growing up and being taken care of. :) I had a bear name "Blue Bear". :)

@laurentye haha, yes he was blue. Simplest bear made of a soft cotton material....so squeezable! Haven't thought about it in years, and no....I don't have him.

Another awesome shot Lauren. The story we all seem top relate too as my mum gave Brown Bear to the Charity shop & at 30 plus I had to go & resuce - well buy him back!!! he still lives at mum's very worn & a bit moth eaten but he's still there :-)

Cute shot. It is amazing how the items we loose tend to stick with us. I lost a watch that was my Grandmother's while I was at college. i think of that watch often.

This picture and story are so sweet and endearing. I get extremely sentimental about all of my stuffed animals (21 years old and I still cuddle with a stuffed animal at night LOL). I still have my first stuffed animal that I was given when I was only a few days old; her name is "Baby" though I'm not exactly sure what she is - I think she's supposed to a baby, but she reminds me more of an alien baby haha! I really love this shot :)

I remember baby bear! This made me tear up a little. I left Dixie in London and thought I would never see her again. Thank goodness I was able to get her back.

@nnkprincess you are so lucky to still have "Baby" that is really sweet! it's nice to have things like that that hold so many memories :) also thanks for the nice comment!

@sare oh my goodness that would have been devastating if you had lost Dixie! you must have been so upset when you realized you left her!!! glad she is safe :)
