Another day trip to Calgary. This time instead of taking a picture in the city, I took this while pulled over on the side of the highway. One of the things I love about Alberta is the feeling of lots of space when you're out of the cities.
* what I need to remember next time: I'm so use to using such a large aperture for all my still life pictures (since I'm addicted to my 50mm f/1.8 lens) that I seem to forget that I can actually change it to something a bit more suitable for landscapes.
This is really great in its simplicity. I've been to Alberta (including a short trip to Calgary) in the days before I was really into photography. I really regret not having my photographer's head on whilst there so I guess I'll just have to visit again. Not a great hardship.
@kalexa thanks for the comment, yeah I sometimes just love the feeling of space after being in the city
@richjane77 lol yes of course you should visit Alberta again! I use to not think too much about Alberta. I thought that the only thing it had to offer were the mountains, but now I am seeing so much more!
this reminds me so much of where i live :) I am so blessed that this is what i see everyday...i love it :)
this is a gorgeous shot! i love the falling apart fence and those fluffy clouds in the bright sky! nice lauren :D
Well I love this one Lauren the blue skies & clouds in particular. I lke the fence the way it is positioned in the frame & also the tree line in the distance. This combined with the bright sky with the dull ground although I like the ground colours a lot. Hope you had a great day there & I love this landscape.
Hey guys, I appreciate the nice comments by each of you. I know everyone is busy and that it takes time to view and comment so I appreciate it. was just reading the disscussion board and I saw the debate about thanking (which I saw awhile back too) so now not sure whether to thank or not thank??? like everyone, i love recieving nice comments and so feel I should thank, but i also don't want to irritate anyone. hmmm???
well, anyway, thank you!
@laurentye i am so torn after reading that discussion too! i would never be irritated by someone saying "thanks" but maybe that's just me? so thank you for thanking me lol and you're welcome haha
@ilovephoto yes i'm still pondering what to do, lol! i'm not at all bothered by recieving thanks, but i'm also not bothered if someone doesn't thank me, lol. glad i'm not the only one torn on the issue!
@rbobh69 thanks Bob, really appreciate it!
