This was taken on day one of this flu thing or whatever it is (which I promise I'll stop complaining about soon!). There are no better options for a picture to post.
This picture pretty much sums up the whole day, as this was my view from the couch. I watched episodes of Gilmore Girls on DVD all day long (between naps, of course) while Simon the Cat slept on my feet to ensure that I stayed put.
Nice to see Simon on here again as we share the name I think he's great lol. Same as the last comment for me all the Lauren hallmarks how do you get the DOF so small I can't do it but keep trying I think my lens apature is too big or small whatever at f2.7. Hey impressed my self talking technical lol :-)
@spthorne lol hi. he is pretty great. he's seriously the sweetest cat ever! thanks for the nice comment Simon. my DOF is so small because it's my Lens. it's my 50mm f1.8 and i love it so much. I got it as a Christmas present and it is usually what i use all the time.
Hmmm so now I'm back to the "I need a DSLR" thoughts as my POS seem to be OK most of the time so I was staying with those. Now I need to rethink & save up if need be...... hmmmm again
@spthorne I know it's tempting to think you "NEED" a DSLR but i don't think it's necessarily true. you take some stunning shots without! i guess there are advantages but disadvantages to both. But if you do get one I would HIGHLY recommend that type of lens, lol.
Although if i recall correctly, Meagan @meggageg got a similar lens and didn't like it??? (is that right Meagan? i think i remember a discussion)... and yes Gilmore Girls are the best. they are so funny and witty!
@laurentye thanks Lauren I will keep thinking as i miss my film SLR so much but I am happy 95% of the time with my POS. It's a lot of money for 5% of the time lol. In the UK people from Yorshire are considered tight with money I spent most of my life there so I think it may have rubbed off a bit as i cont want to spend my £
@spthorne it's true it is a lot of money for 5% of the time! Simon I am now going to ask maybe one of the dumbest question ever: since our money symbols are different, mine being $ and yours looking like a weird backwards 3, how do you type that? do you have different characters on your keyboard??? I wouldn't be able to type it on my keyboard. maybe i will google that.
Not dumb Lauren it is "shift" & 3 on my key board your $ is shift & 4. I had not wored out the 5% before & all I realy want is a smaller or larger apeture below 2.7 & a faster capture rate for Chris kayaking photos I can see the thinking will last for a long time been thinking since b4 this project & still no purchase. You can't rush into these things............ haha
@spthorne hmmmm? well now you really do have to take a picture of your keyboard! cause now i don't know where your # symbol is cause that's my shift 3, lol. Wow, Simon that's a long time to be thinking about a purchase (which i would then rationalize means you really do want to get it or you wouldn't still be thinking of it, lol). I think I am the complete opposite in that maybe i am a bit too impulsive with those sorts of things, lol
@shutterbugger@laurentye ~ I ordered a 50mm f1.8 today. They are backordered due to being made in Japan. Or, should I say, not being made much these days. More important things to do there, for sure!
@laurentye my friend lent me the whole series bc she owns it, and when i told her i had never watched it before, she could not believe it! haha. So she lent it to me and i watched the WHOLE ENTIRE series in no time! my life will forever be changed!! hahaha. I miss it now tho...i need to go buy my own set!!
@kdimagery@ilovephoto for years my best friend had told me over and over how amazing GG is but was very protective of her dvd set because she loved them so much! so finally i bought the first season for really cheap somewhere and loved it so much i just decided to buy the whole thing!
