Can I still call it a tea party if the only person there was me?
After a really busy day being a super productive person, checking off items on my to-do list all day, it was nice to sit and have some tea. Two cups of tea, in fact!
I found it sort of tricky to edit this, cause I hadn't noticed that the lighting had changed a little bit and the left side was a bit darker than the right, but in the end I think it worked okay.
*update - for those of you that asked regarding what software and if it was easy to do, etc, i'll put it here:
I used photoshop elements. I think any editing software that lets you do "layers" would work (i'm not knowledgeable at all about other software! i have a feeling the free software Pixlr could probably do layers too??? - dave @chewyteeth just told me about Pixlr)
The picture part was pretty easy. I preset my focus to where i wanted it, then put it on manual focus so it wouldn't change. then i took the two pictures (the one on the right and the one on the left) and sort of put them one on top of the other in elements.
as long as the camera settings all stay the same this way is pretty quick and easy.
Very nicely done, Lauren. I haven't got a clue how you go about doing something like this or what software to use for it. I think the shadows look pretty good.
This is great - I haven't tried anything like this yet! Is it difficult? I'm making plans to place my order with David's Tea (it's a Christmas present to myself) and can't wait to get the package delivered to try all the flavours.
thanks everyone for the great comments. For those of you that were wondering what software i used and if it was easy, etc, I updated my caption to explain how I did it. Maybe other people have a better way of doing it, but for me this way is really quick!
On first glance I was going to say "Oh, how sweet! These two friends shop at the same store for their sweaters!" LOL!
This is beautifully done! I can't wait to get Photoshop and do this kind of stuff!
Hey! I got a mention!!
I would only use PS for this, I think something else has layers, is it gimp? or the advanced picnik? but pixlr is mainly only colour effects - even thought they are super. Well done, IO love how classy this looks.
