All around the downtown area of my little city, the trees are all lit up with Christmas lights. This was just a quick shot as my husband and I were driving by.
Now that there is a month before Christmas, I feel like I can soon start getting into the spirit a bit more. I may even start listening to Christmas music soon.
And this year we may even put a Christmas tree up... We avoid Christmas trees most years because of the cats. There is nothing like watching a 20 pound cat climb a Christmas tree (and cleaning up the broken glass after the tree falls over). But somehow I'm determined we'll make it work this year.
@shutterbugger do you put up a real one or fake one. I've hear that they avoid climbing real ones since they don't like the needles of the branches, so maybe i will get a real one this year...
@laurentye I had a friend who had real and the cat loved it! The cat had the tree on the floor at least twice that year. I guess it would depend on your cat!
Very cool shot, suggestion use twine from the top of the tree to the baseboards. That will keep the tree from falling over (at least away from the wall) when the cats climb on it
Pretty bursts of light. love watching them start to appear on the streets, more and more everyday as people decide when it's time. I was first on the block, haha.
Neat!! This looks really kewl :)!!! How do you do Xmas with no tree?!!? I would be SO sad without one! Lol. But that's just me, lol. I think u should have one this year :) Buy plastic Xmas tree decorations!!! Then there won't be a huge mess IF your cat tries to climb it! Lol.
love the color patterns
