She's home! I just want to thank everyone who offered prayers, well wishes, tips, links to websites and happy stories that kept me hoping and trying to find Chloe. I’m not sure whether it was the flyers, the tuna left on the porch, her cat litter spread throughout the yard to give her a scent trail home, learning to “think like a cat,” or just making sure to take a walk at night when all is calm and gently calling her name, but somehow the combo worked. Tonight she actually answered! She was scared, starving and smelled really musty like she was holed up somewhere hiding. But that hug (only cat I’ve ever had that actually hugs) and the kisses all over my face was truly the best Mother’s Day present ever – and she came home on her first birthday, so Chloe is home and one year old today.
Laurie , I am soooooo happy for you. Where was that little beggar. I hope you sat her down and told her the dangers of running away. I will come and give her the Danger Stranger Program if you want. LOL. Happy Mothers Day and what a gift.
