Picking Apples in Vermont

I could have chosen a scenic photo of foliage for today, but I had such a happy day picking apples with my son, Tommy, and my Mom. Tommy is 16, so weekends like this will soon be just a fond memory. He climbed right up the tree to reach the taller ones for me.

Tonight my Mom and I are going to watch a movie and eat popcorn, so I'll catch up with all of you tomorrow night when I get home.

@sarasdadandmom Terry, that is an apple picker! You usually stand on the ground and reach up with it. It has a basket with hooks to pick the apples. I'll post a close up of it in my second album if you are interested in seeing it up close.
