Today was so gray and dark that I didn't get any photos that were even slightly decent. So I'm revisiting my chicken photos from yesterday, because I really do love my chickens and the eggs they lay. This is Piper, a Silver Laced Wyandotte hen.
A huge bright spot in my day was meeting another 365-er, Laura Thornton (@ptowncook), for a drink and nice chat in Provincetown. It's always fun to meet kindred spirits. Hopefully the next time we get together will be more conducive to taking photos.
Brrraaaawwwwk! (Sorry, first thing that popped into my head upon seeing this) How fun that you got to meet up with another 365'er! I just had my first meet with a couple of 365'ers as well. Loads of fun!!!!
Fantastic profile shot of this really pretty hen! I'm glad you had a nice meet-up. I hope one of these times that I head up, I'll have some free time to be able to meet up with you too!
How nice for you to meet your friend! Can't have too many of those. You can see right into the brain of your chicken; it looks kind of blank to me. Nice shot!
Love the detail and pop of red. SO nice in winter! I wanted to get chickens, but then my neighbor did. My dog was always driving me nuts, trying to get to them....decided I wouldn't bother. I recently read your article on friends in the Cape Cod News? Kudos! :)
@lauriehiggins -- there was a link somewhere on one of the zillions of threads here at 365. I clicked on it to read and then said, "hey! she's one of my peeps!"
how fun that you and Laura got to meet up!
