The Crosby Mansion by lauriehiggins

The Crosby Mansion

This week I'm participating in the "get pushed week 13" challenge. After looking through my album, Mel (@mellow) noticed that most of my photos are nature or candid portraits. With that in mind, she challenged me to shoot a cityscape or architectural photo. Boston and Providence are the nearest cities and they are both two hours away, so I thought I would try some architectural shots. I'm finding them to be a challenge, but I will continue to explore this theme this week.

This is the Crosby mansion, built in 1888. After years of decline and neglect, a local group is slowly restoring it. It's a really gorgeous building and this photo only captures part of it.
So it's a lot bigger? Love to see more as these sort of beautiful verandas with the arch work come from a past era ipunfortunately!

Well this place is surely worthwhile restoring and maintaining. The arched facade, and setting are gorgeous. The color is very nice too.
