My water bottle was not really in any danger: the hot wire is really electroluminescent wire, which glows without heat.The blue is my tactical LED flashlight shining on the wall behind. I use the blue beam often in experimental photos, much more often than I use it for its intended purpose of increasing the contrast of a trail of blood.
