I'm dragging the chain a bit again, so using another shot from our Easter weekend.
A neighbouring camper asked if he could borrow our axe. He apologetically brought it back about an hour later in 2 pieces (oooops), with a bottle of wine in hand & the promise that he'd get a new handle for it the next day - which was very good of him. Except we then had a problem of how we were going to split our wood - all we had was big logs...lol But we managed to get by, by getting the fire raging as much as we could so that the whole logs would burn. The next day the camper returned with yet another apology - that the shops were shut & he was unable to get a new handle. So he had bought us a bag of logs, plus he gave cash for us to buy a new handle. All very good of him - but a rather expensive exercise for him :-/
