Built in 1883 in the tiny village of Bimbi. A village that once boasted two general stores, a hotel, post office, police station, bakery, butcher shop, fruit shop, tea rooms, stock and station agent, two churches and a blacksmith....nowadays it's like a ghost town.
Apparently the old post office was going to be bulldozed back in the 1980's, but was saved by a couple of young locals who purchased it and gained heritage listing & a grant. I don't think it's used as anything nowadays, but at least it's still standing.
