The natural spring here at Alston Hall in the middle of newhere is the source for the water that feeds the lagoon and scrapes at Trimley Marshesd Bird Reserve.
We often pass it on our walks and have to hold on to the dog as she has a penchant for diving in!
@clareannbrady Thankyou. It was a desperation shot. We were dog walking and it was a horrid grey windy evening and I remembered that I hadn't taken my photo of the day. It turned out better than I thought it would as my little Easyshare isn't usually good in lowlight. @judithdeacon It's about a mile or so from my house, crossing the playing field and behind the allotments to Gun Lane then left over the railway line and follow the footpath to Alston Hall whre you turn left then left again and through a small copse to reach this lake. Then it's straight on up Fingerbread Hill to Keepers Lane and home. I've been walking these footpaths for 25 years!
