The Welcome Hall by lellie

The Welcome Hall

This is our village hall in Trimley St Mary. I've spent a lot of time in there over the past 30 odd years!
Community = so important. Congratulations on your commitment to it.

@clareannbrady To be honest David makes more commitment than I do. He iis a Parish Coincillor and sits on the Felixstowe Sports Council. Most of my time in the Welcome Hall have been to do with cubs, playgroup and school stuff when the boys were young and later with WI and Suffolk Wildlife Trust. But yes, community is important. My Dad, bless him, always said that if you live in a community and expect to take things out of that community then you'd better be prepared to put something back. He should know, he was born and raised in the East End of London as was my Mum. They moved us all out to Suffolk in the 60's.

I love the way you eye is drawn straight to the word 'welcome' - super shot and story :)

@boogie Thank you. This has always been known as The Welcome Hall for obvious reasons. No one I know has ever called it the Village Hall.
