A very Suffolk scene by lellie

A very Suffolk scene

It is at this time of the year anyway. Acres of acid yellow oil seed rape . Not my favourite, plays havoc with hay fever and smells of cabbage, but the colour is spectacular.
This was taken from one of the network of footpaths that run behind my house all the way alongside the River Orwell between Felixstowe and Ipswich.
I have the same problems with rape seed and hay fever and it is rape year in the field behind us this year (alternates with barley) it is interesting to see how far ahead the crop is where you are . Ours is only about half it's hight and no where near flowering

A gorgeous country scene, I didn't know the rape seed flowers smelled of cabbage! I love to see fields of it.
