Let There Be Light

Saw a couple great sunrises on my way to work last week and was going to get up early this past weekend to get a picture. Well that didn't happen but I did wake up early enough day and I haven't been able to get it off my mind so out the door I went. Thought for a change I'd make this sunrise B&W.
I think it works very well in b&w, and congratulations on getting up so early (at 4:58am, I'm still vast asleep!).

Beautiful Leslie.

Wonderful sun flare - probably stands out much more dramatically in the b&w version. Yes? It is hard to beat the sun this time of year. But sunsets aren't as hard since they're not competing with the work day. :-)

@lindag Linda I had to go back and look at the original and you are correct . It does stand out more in B&W. With it setting at around 8:30 here does make it easier if I can make myself go out which I definitely do when I'm at the beach.

This shot looks beautiful! Great silhouette, and that flare adds a lovely, dramatic touch. 8)

I love how the light passes by that "tiny" tree back there and you can jussst see what is there. Lovely!
