One of my favorite shots from yesterdays race. I loved his beard and outfit. It was in the low 90's with a feels like temp of 100 degrees. Boy was it HOT ! I wonder how hot a beard like this is plus that outfit must have also been quite hot. I tried this one in b&w and liked them both so I put that one in my extra album.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond It takes a lot of practice and still a lot of throw aways. I'm on continuous focus and shots using back button focus. I push the back button focus button way before I want to take the picture and follow my subject through the viewfinder. Lay on the shutter just before the composition you want and follow the subject twisting at the waist keeping your arms glued to your sides. You'll get quite a few shots before the camera buffer fills up. I found 15-30 seconds worked for me with these bikes. Look at what you captured and adjust shutter speed up or down depending if any were in focus. I have shoot this event about 7 times so don't mind missing lots of shots trying panning plus they go round and round the 4 block course for 20 minutes so you get lots of tries. Hope this makes sense and helps.
