Falls Through The Trees

With the lake freezing over thought I'd take a drive to Great Falls. I dressed for the cold and the walk along the C&O canal was breathtaking. So far this shot is my favorite and I just might post another in my extras album showing a little more of the falls.

This is beautiful. When I used to go to vacation in North Carolina, we had some pretty little creeks with scenic waterfalls. But nothing like this. You're so lucky. :D

@maggiemae it is but you can wind your way down only problem is getting back up is a little harder. I have gone down in the spring but didn't attempt it today.

@busylady no darn it....lol but there is a lot of ice on the rocks and some frozen spots. couldn't believe when I saw the kayakers
