One Is The Loneliest Number

It's been quite a while since I went for sunset on the lake so I grabbed the key to the bird feed bins just in case they needed filling and off I went. Couldn't believe my luck a Tundra Swan was walking around the parking lot when I arrived. I got some pictures really trying to make sure I got his/her tag clearly. I was over taking pictures by the fishing dock which is located top left of this picture when he and his candian geese friends decided to fly into the lake for the night. I hiked over to this side of the lake hoping he'd let me snap off a few shots. To my surprise he didn't even seem to notice me or my camera. Okay if you're still reading I looked up tagged tundra swans on the computer and found a site to report him. Hoping to hear back and find out how far he has traveled.

This morning Black Hill let me know someone has checked and .... drum roll please he's a Trumpeter Swan from Ontario, Canada. He's been hanging around BH for about two months now. His name is Harvey ...
Read it all ! did you find out where he came from? Great color in this sunset and terrific shot of the loneliest number!

Beautiful capture. I'm anxious to hear how far he.she has travelled. I know the swan is the focal point but the sky is gorgeous.
