Now Where'd I Leave My Cap by lesip

Now Where'd I Leave My Cap

Went to the C&O Canal today with my photo friend Rebecca. As we were walking from the parking lot Rebecca was straightening her hat and her camera slipped off her shoulder landing lens first on the cement sidewalk. It was one of those heart stopping moments. The camera is a Nikon D7300 and only about 2 months old. The UV filter on the lens shattered but seemed to have taken most of the impact. Putting another lens on the camera and crossing our fingers the camera seems to be fine. Boy was she lucky.
Great clouds and sky Leslie.

Love your title for this photo and this photo too, Leslie. Dan left his ht o n the handle of our vacuum cleaner this morning. lol Your friend was very lucky as filters have saved me a couple of times years ago. A great reminder as I have meant to get one for each lens for my camera. Hope her camera is ok. So hot here. Was 103 yesterday and 106 today. Hubby's A/C in his car would not work as he left work yesterday so he called me and took his car to the rental place locally and our mechanic picked up our car at Avis with the keys Dan left at the shop in the door slot they have. Have a great day.

@darsphotos My goodness that is HOT. Is it humid too? The humidity here makes the heat so much worse .Hope its nothing major with the car A/C. Stay inside as much as possible.

@lesip It was actually 109. It is not humid here but it is in the city, SF. We rarely have humid days and when we do it is rare that it is bad. I feel for you as it is hard to breath or do much of anything when it is humid. Fans have to be replaced. Still have rental as parts had to be ordered. Will get our car back later today. $720 total pus two rental car days at $45 each. Nothing else can go wrong. Still have to put our bathroom back together and I have bills from ER and hospital too. Need to win the Lottery at this rate. Staying inside as air quality is not great and so many firers around, some getting worse. Take care and hope you are having nice days.
