The Quilting Trail by lesip

The Quilting Trail

I spent yesterday on a field trip out of Black Hills Park in search of 22 beautiful quilt blocks mounted on historic barns and a handful of landmark Carroll County buildings. It was an 8 hr. adventure and a stop for lunch took longer then expected (but was wonderful) which slowed us down. We managed to see 13 of them and hope a spring field trip will finish the 9 we have left to see.

There are quilt block trails all over the United States. I learn new things every day because of my love for photography. I included the names of the Quilt blocks along the sides of the collage.
I'm learning new things every day too Lesley - I never knew about such quilt blocks. What a lovely opportunity to go round and take pictures of them all - I hope you get the remaining 9 eventually! Lovely display of those you did see.

oh this is so cool. I have toured an area in Oregon which has done the same thing. It is a great way to see the country side in search of the quilts

This is exquisite! I love that you made the collage a quilt and then the names of each pattern by the side. I must tag my sister and daughter, both quilters, and say to both that you are the one we met with at balloon fiesta this month. @laurielizard @mbemis
