Watching the news Monday they had a little story about people in Minnesota freezing their jeans and placing them around town. How cool is that and I've got to try it. Although my first attempt wasn't what I had envisioned, you work with what you got. I believe using the spin cycle of a front loading washer just doesn't leave the jeans wet enough. That problem is now solved. Stay tuned Mom will come play soon......
These are a pair of Bobby's oshgoshs bibs that he and his brother wore when they were one. Be still my heart. Maybe one day a grandchild will fill these pants.....
Hahaha! I love it. I just heard about this on the radio last night, too. Very cool and fun. I'll have to ask my daughter if she's seen this on campus. She's going to school in MN.
you are a funny, funny woman, les. but a granchild is the sweetest thing ever, even when you have five and all are calling for your attention. well, that's a warning. :-) this is awesome. if i wasn't 'transient' i'd be doing this, too, along with other wintry photographic stunts i've been wanting to do.

Love it. I may have to do something like this since we will be hunkering down due to the anticipated 24 inches of snow here in Northern VA over the next two days.
@taffy this dusting happened Wednesday around 6pm and crippled the area roads. People spent hours going from one traffic light to the next. They had not treated the roads and there were 100's of accidents. Snow starts here around 2pm. They are stopping the buses in DC at 5pm and the metro is closing at 11pm . Both will not start back up till Monday. Most of the airline have canceled their late afternoon and evening flights. Hope you got them to give you your points back. You made the right decision not to come.
@lesip I got word this morning that our flight had been cancelled, and my points were reinstated this afternoon so all is good. We didn't need to be 2 more people stressing the system during this storm! I hope you are fine, keep your heat and electricity, and that all is back to normal by Monday. We're planning on rescheduling -- maybe in spring!

I remember washing freezing on the clothes line when I lived in the UK. Glad I don't have to deal with it now though.
